The reason is straightforward:
For panels of equal stiffness, the load is distributed between them in a predictable and uniform manner, so the calculation according to EN 1168 is valid. However, if one panel has different stiffness (e.g., it is thinner, has different reinforcement, or is weakened by openings), its deformation under load will differ from that of the others. This results in uneven force transfer — some panels will carry more of the load, others less — and the result from the standard formula will no longer be accurate.
